Ha Ling & Miners' Peaks Trail Hike on 4-Feb-2010

What else can I say? Yet another beautiful sunny day in the mountains. The trail up Ha ling is so heavily used that gaiters are not required unless you are a powder pig (see last photo of Sheila). The first 150 m of climb were somewhat icy, traction devices helped but were not strictly necessary.

We hit the top after two hours.

It was a little cool and breezy but still fine for a 20 minute lunch break. We also headed over to Miners' Peak and Miners' Leap? before heading back to the car.

The entire hike took a little over four hours and at the parking lot we were greeted by a family of goats.

Thanks to Sheila and Adrian for joining me on my quest to (maybe) climb Ha Ling every month this year, Carl (C/S)
