Three Point Creek Trail & Hogsback Trail Loop Trail Hike on 15-Nov-20

A nice day on a trail with nice scenery and some spectacular views. The wind was cool in the morning but later in the day the sun came out and warmed things up.

We were able to drive up the wellsite road so this shortened our trip a few kilometers. The plan was followed which was to hike up Threepoint Creek and then up Muskeg Creek to a shortcut trail up to the Hogsback. The trail section up Muskeg Creek seemed quite scenic until we topped out above Threepoint Creek. Here the scene was quite spectacular.

A lunch was taken here and then we continued along the deep canyon of Threepoint Creek. There is a second section lower on the creek which is also quite spectacular.

From here a sharp ridge was followed back down to a creek crossing where the canyon basically disappeared.

For added adventure the northside trail was taken back to another wellsite road which was followed to a bridge crossing and then back to the vehicle.

It was great to be in the company of Ghulam, Gerard and Janet on this very scenic trip. Thanks to Gerard for providing the photos.
