We headed east through the light brush and five crossed the Big Elbow. The other eight went back along the river looking for a better place to cross. This lead to separate lunch spots, arm waving signals across the water... and the five went on to the planned destination and some great views.
For example Banded Peak.
We rejoined on the walk back, and debated whether the arm waving had meant "go on ahead"/ "join us for lunch" or "see you later". On the way back we met a class of school kids, heading out for 2 nights camping. Edna, Tom, Marianne, Catherine, Dave, Beverly, Sandy, Dusan, Del, Don, Robert, Alastair coordinator and Karen, scribe.
