After spectacular day far north on Hwy 93 on Saturday same group of people was wondering if we still like K-Country after hiking Cataract Pass and yes we still do. After good team work we find way to Lake of the Horns with not much help from Daffern description and virtually no signs on trail. Carl Potter is right in his report from this hike- do not take any left turns on head-wall/i did twice and i got into nasty stuff/. Otherwise trail is good and SC 5 part is very short. There is outfitters trail doing N-E-S horse-shoe towards and around Hill of the Flowers, we used it to go back. It is very enjoyable, has excellent views and takes you back to logging road.
