Powderface Pass Trail Hike on 2-Sep-2007
Perfect hiking weather, with a high of 20-22 and an occasional cool breeze. Rain from Friday night left a few puddles across the trail. We lunched overlooking the pass.

At Powderface Pass

Notable moments included a late season crocus, the dog snaffling Linda's sandwich, the walk along the ridge north and east of the pass, the further walk by some on to a northern point overlooking Jumping Pound Ridge, the bushwack back down, with all its conflicting routefinding advice, and many mushrooms in the woods (hear us, Dusan?).

NE from Powderface pass,

The trail is heavily used by cyclists, some still heading out as we returned to the car just after 4pm. A majority of pedometers tallied the full route, with northern extensions at just over 16km.
