Eiffel Peak Scramble on 29-Jul-2007

Despite predictions of hiking in 30C temperatures, we were fortunate in having a wind that reduced the temperature to a reasonable low 20Cs. With Calgary boiling at +30C, it was much cooler where we were and we had wonderful hike up Eiffel. We left Calgary at 7 a.m. and reached the summit by 12:15.

We took a different route down and reached the cars at 3:30 pm. For part of the down route we were able to slide down the snow packs with varying degrees of success, usually ending in a fall/slide part way down.
