Galatea Lakes Trail Hike on 21-Jul-2007

It was a cloudy morning when 13 of us left for Lillian and Galatea Lakes. The walk to Lillian Lake was very pleasant, since the trail was in the trees. After about 2 hours we reached Lillian Lake. We had a short snack break and the climb to Galalea Lake started. Now the trail was in the open, and we were in full sunshine and had a good look at Lillian Lake from the top.

The temperature was very comfortable, with a nice breeze. After a nice long lunch break we returned the same way to Lillian Lake, for another snack break and back to the cars, which we reached at 4:30. Thanks to Ghulam our coordinator for a beautiful day in the mountains. Participants: Marianne, Ann, Tom, Dorothy-Ann, Linda, Robert, Aldis, Eva, Paul, Joyce,June, and Heidi
