Tom Snow Trail-West Bragg Creek Trail Hike on 12-Nov-2005

Despite the cool, windy morning, 19 Ramblers met at the Cinammon Spoon in Bragg Creek for a traditional fall hike along the Tom Snow Trail west of Bragg Creek. The initial part of the trail follows a gravel road from the West Bragg Creek parking lot and this was quite icy due the pipleine constructuion traffic. By the time we reached the regular trail, the wind had dropped and the sky had cleared to a brilliant blue. We found a nice sunny lunch spot where it was warm enough for napping and sitting around discussing the usual topics of food and travel. On the way back to the cars, we noticed some clear and relatively large animal tracks in the snow. Fortunately, Dennis was carrying one of the Ramblers' cue cards on animal tracks, so we were able to indentify the tracks as belonging to nothing more exciting than a coyote!

Participants were: Alastair (coodinator), Emily,Anne, June, Ivan, Del, Ken, Robert, Linda, Ilo, Tom, Marianne, Dennis, Joanne, Sandy, Dusan, Ron, and Brian (scribe).
