We saw 7 sheep in mother/young groups. This ewe stood guard in her airy perch, with the moon and brilliant blue sky as backdrop.
Upon reaching the treeline we were able to look back to Two Medicine Lake and out to the prairie beyond.
Our target was Mount Helen, elevation 8,600 feet, following the easy summit ridge from the pass.
From the top we looked straight down at Upper Two Medicine Lake.
Four summited. It was quite windy on top. Flinch Peak stands in the background. We were back at the boat dock for the 5:15 cruise back to camp.
Participants: Carolyn, Joyce, Gerry, Jeanne and Carl, coordinator and scribe.
