Lake O'Brien via Taylor Lake Trail Hike on 30-Sep-2004

The advantage of having one car is you can change your mind anytime and go somewhere else. We did this today as Galatea looked overcast and it looked better towards Banff. We made a good decision based on the way it looked towards the Kananaskis on the way home.

Taylor and O'Brian Lakes were beautiful. The weather was overcast but the larches still glowed. There was no wind and it was a lot warmer than Calgary. We saw a couple of grouse on the way up as well as one on the way down. A pair of eagles soared above Mt. Bell. A new one for me. Down in the parking lot we found a marmot living under the washroom. Could it be a woodchuck?
