Windtower Scramble on 13-Aug-2023
A perfect day for this great hike. Great especially because it looks so impressive from the Trans Canada. The temperature was just right, skies clear, and just enough wind to cool us off from time to time.
We set out at 9:30 amongst a few groups heading up to Rimwall, West Wind Pass and Windtower. The climb up was uneventful other than that each portion (to the pass, the traverse, and the final climb) all seem to be much longer than they were a few years ago. For two, this was their first time up this peak. Both were suitably impressed. We were all at the summit by 12:30 and had it to ourselves for a little bit.

Descending one of the cruxes on Windtower Back at the cars a little after 3. Distance 10 km, ascent 950 m.
Many thanks to participants: Alda,Bob,Deb, and Tina for joining me, Carl (C.S).
PS Unfortunately I hit a rock on the way home and lost my oil. We were "rescued" by Ryan from Engadine Lodge who brought us down to Canmore, and Deb's husband Cam who picked us up from there. C
