Snow flakes fall, as winter calls, and time just seems to fly. With no worries we set out, with icers on, heavy cloud soon giving way to brighter conditions, and then sunshine. We followed the old road to the point where it was basically washed out above the creek rendering not safe for all. A short lunch here and then a small backtrack to the sidetrail leading to the highpoint overlooking same creek.

Bart, Tom, Tom, Lenard, our high point on this day.

From here 3 of use took the decending route down to Evan Thomas Creek and the waterfall on the unnamed creek.

Tom & Bart on decent to Evan Thomas creek. Very healthy young lodgepole pines coming.

It was wonderful to see this growth of young healthy lodgepole pines thru this area, not hand planted I am thinking, but seeds released from there cones during a past fire.

Tom & Bart, excellent photo opp.

Lenard and Bart @ waterfall on unnamed creek that empties into Evan Thomas Creek.
