A perfect day to prove the advantage of skinned XC skis. Temperature around freezing, and a lot of needles and pine cones on the trails.
We had a fine day under cloudy skies with a few sunny breaks.

Carl, Jane and Mike at the Pipestone/Merlin junction

We skied all of the trails (Pipestone, Merlin, Drummond, Mud Lake, Pipestone, Hector, Drummond, Merlin, Pipestone) for about 25 km. Started a little after 10 and finished around 2:15. We had our lunch at Mud Lake which was pretty much 1/2 way around our route.

Many thanks to participants: Jane and Mike for joining me,Carl (C/S).
