Little Lougheed Off-Trail hike on 28-Aug-2022

We had a lovely day day on this very worthwhile, short hike.
We set out from the trailhead around 9:45. I had done the hike a long time ago in snow, the trip was new to Deb and Terry.
After crossing the High Rockies trail we trended to the left following Bob Spirko's track (from 2001). That took us up 15 minutes of OT4/5 terrain. After a bit, following voices up ahead, we found ourselves on a fine trail. And on the way back that trail was continuous. The AllTrails track is the now well worn route. Before we were 1/2 way up there were really nice views along Spray Lake.

And before 1 1/2 hours we had a clear view of the summit.

On the way up we passed four parties and met two coming down. We made the summit after pretty close to two hours.

After a nice lunch break, we headed down, meeting those that we had passed as well as at least six other parties.

Back at the cars around 1:45. The weather was close to perfect, neither cool or hot, just a bit of breeze. We all agreed that this is a awesome hike, with a fine summit a great views, and not too long.
Many thanks to Terry, and Deb for joining me, Carl (C/S).
