The road to Vulcan from Nanton is fairly flat, a slight uphill gradient with a few dips. So we made good time and had lunch under the space ship followed by a visit to the Star Trek museum. On the return, we passed near an old RCAF airfield, now abandoned. With a tail wind and mostly downhill, it was a pleasant ride back to Nanton. Great prairie views, the fields are all bright green after the recent rains and the roads run straight to the horizon. The total distance was 88km and the total elevation gain was around 380m depending on which app one believes. Thanks to Sim,Joe and Jack for joining Damian on this ride.
