Participants: Six of us joined a group of cyclists from Elbow Valley Cycle club to explore cycling in the Shuswap area. The weather proved to be a challenge since we had to adjust our departure times according to the hourly forecasts. The temperatures in the Shuswap were about the same as Calgary so leaving too early meant 7 or 8 degrees. We did manage to do the four routes as planned. We found the first route from Haig-Brown Park to be busy with cars but the other route had less traffic and were therefore more enjoyable. Of especial interest were the provincial parks which we visited which had old growth forest and good trails: Wild Rose Bay and Tsutswecwp Park (Haig-Brown Park) worth a visit. Thanks to all participants for making this trip a success. Kim,Shirley,Clifton,Cathy,Barbara. Pics to follow.
