Day 2 of our trip was to find and climb Maze Mountain. We drove a short distance from the campground and found a well defined horse trail leaving the road and climbing up a drainage. this was our route up to the summit of Maze. The route consisted of a variety of terrain from a stony, steep, trail to rocky outcrops and easy scrambling; unfortunately, the wind was very strong and the gusts were strong and cold. We reached the summit and signed the register before continuing down. Once again, we were amazed at the panorama. Thanks to Janice, Shirley and Clifton for not getting blown over by the wind, but getting blown over by the views.
