It didn't look good. 1cm new on a hard crust. The rambler's persevered.
Up through the trees into a creek drainage. We were exposed to avi hazard from the sunny side.
When looking up the barrel of a gun make sure it is not loaded.
It was just below zero ,snowy and very cloudy.
We travelled single file through the creek drainage and Cathy led us up to a safe treed bench lookers right ( shady side)
Carl led a perfect traverse back into the drainage above treeline in lower angled terrain.
We finally gained the summit
The reward 5 inches of new on a firm base , easy turns , flat light.
I got a sunburn through the thick clouds.
Thanks To Bill and Carl for the photos .
