The wind was howling right from the parking lot, so we were glad to be in trees for the most part. Between the wind, snow, ice, and mud, we had a great morning workout... including an unexpected detour when the coordinator followed a path in the snow thinking “this doesn’t look right...”. Fortunately I soon realized the mistake and we backtracked, resulting in some bonus distance and elevation gain for a total of 14 km and 540 m in 3 hours and 20 minutes. Another bonus was that we didn’t see anyone else on the trail despite it being the day before a long weekend.

Thanks to everyone for their good company, energy and enthusiasm: Sim,Patrick,Maria,Cristina photo, from Ingrid coordinator.
