Kinda cool and overcast in the morning, very nice in the aft. Whiskyjack (trackset), Tyrwhitt (rolled), Elk Pass (trackset), West Elk Pass Sofa (windy), Fox and Boulton Creek (both rolled and a little firm). Altogether awesome conditions for November. We set off from Boulton Brige for the long climb up Whiskyjack a little before 9. Get the worst of the climbing out of the way early in the day. Tyrwhit while not trackset is always a lovely ski, before long we were at the pass.

The others. were not familiar with the "couches" at West Elk Pass, so we did the side trip out to them (in the teeth of a fairly fierce south wind).

On the way down the Elk Pass trail we ran into a few Ramblers as well as many other skiers who hadn't left so early. Back at Boulton Bridge before 1 pm, leaving us time get some chores done at home.

Many thanks to participants: Terry, Hannah and Anne for joining me, Carl (C/S).

PS It was unneccesary to start so early, Boulton Bridge was not full at 1 pm (when we finished).
