Due to excessive wind, the group opted to hike up Powderface where the trees and east side of the ridge would provide protection. It was a good decision. Getting some exercise and being able to socialize was more important than the destination. Many others hikers felt the same need as we met quite a few of them plus several dogs and four other Ramblers. The wind on the ridge was very strong so we stopped for a lunch break on the east side just below the ridge top. There was no wind back at the cars at 1:30pm so it may have abated higher up as well by then. Thanks to the following members for a very enjoyable few hours in the hills:
