In spite of the overcast skies, it was a very pleasant day for a hike. The westward portion of the trail was muddy in spots, but these were easily circumvented.

Mo crossing the creek, Ginger and Jo Anne waiting

We made a brief stop to look at Sulphur Springs site, which is is basically a pipe sticking out of the ground with water issuing from it. The spectacle was somewhat diminished by all of the water from the creek rushing around it! There was bit of a breeze at the lunch spot, but we settled in for about half an hour to admire the views of the mountains to the west (all very snowy).
