As expected , it was a busy day at the Cross Conservation Area as it was a beautiful day to be outdoors. The parking lot was almost full when we arrived, but we were able to get underway without getting close to each other , or to others. The trail itself generally consisted of packed snow, although after a few slippery times on the first hill, most people opted to put on traction devices.
Keeping a suitable distance at a viewpoint
Once on the trail we encountered only 2 couples and one family before stopping for lunch. Instead of occupying the 2 benches, most of the group headed into the woods to find a less crowded spot to eat.
Lunch in the woods
Spread out group shot
After lunch and on the way back, we had the trail mostly to ourselves.
