A fabulous day in Paradise valley to celebrate the crazy concept of messing with the clocks. The inter web machine declared it pretty frosty in Lake Louise in the morning, but after a couple hours driving time the mercury was up, and the sky was blue.

A little cozy in the parking lot, with a yellow school bus busy disgorging high school students, but we got parked and skied up the road to the junction with the Fairview trail. Then up the Fairview trail till where it approached the Paradise valley trail and then jumped across. At the junction with the high trail, we dropped down to the creek and skied up the valley enjoying the open views. The trail in this section was filled in with the new snow but fortunately Janehad brought along her son Paul to help with the chores.

We rejoined the broken trail at the next bridge.. which many would call the first ... and continued up the valley until reaching the final bridge where the persistent few finally applied skins, and continued up to the lake. We arrived just a little bit after the sun dropped behind Temple Mountain and the glaciers hanging overhead seemed to influence the temperature. A quick lunch and then we dropped back down to the bridge where the sun quickly re-warmed us.

We chose to ski out via the same route and made good time back to the cars.

Thanks for a great day, everyone!
