Participants: Mohsen, Jennifer, Aldis, Janice, Barb, Teresa, Cristina. Another lovely, windless day in the mountains! When we arrived at the trailhead, just after 10:30 am. it was a very reasonable -7 C. with cloud but the sky looked like we would get some sun. The trail conditions to Rawson were good with packed snow which made it good for walking but not ideal for snowshoeing and we left our snowshoes in the cars. Some of us wore microspikes but it wasn't really necessary as there was no ice. There were quite a few small groups of hikers and snowshoers throughout the day. Arriving at the lake at noon, we had a pleasant lunch but the temp. had dropped to -10C. with no sunshine up there at this time of year, so our break was not a long affair. Our descent being fairly quick, we opted to walk along the north side of Upper Kan. Lk. for another hour or so in the sunshine.

Thanks to Aldis, Barb, Cristina, Janice, Mohsen, and Teresa for an enjoyable outing from Jennifer c/s.
