We left the Black Prince parking lot at a balmy -3C in light snow and poor visibility. Only a few centimeters of new snow in the parking lot and light snow all day. Maybe only 5 or 6 cm total. The forecast high winds did not materialise . We headed up to the high point gaining 500 meters of elevation working moderately hard breaking trail.

Manfred and Arnold on the uptrack

Because of the elevated avalanche risk we stayed in fairly thick timber both up and down. Turns were pretty good on the way down though dodging trees was a bit of a challenge.

Arnold, Manfred, Ed and Philip enjoying a hearty lunch

We did another lap and headed down to the cars arriving around 4:15 in the parking lot. Thanks to Bill for the photos.
