Mt Hoffman loop Off-Trail hike on 20-Oct-2018
It was a pleasant surprise to discover that most of the snow had disappeared so we didn't need our microspikes.In the way up part of the group took a short detour to view the rock formations in the subpeak , we all reunited on the summit for an early lunch.To complete the loop we followed the ridge in a southwesterly direction ,down to a saddle and up another bump, from there steeply down on open meadows and bushwhacker-friendly forest until reaching the wide Sheep river trail.Back at the cars shortly before 3 pm
