We had a slightly late start as the gate at the entrance to the park didn't open at the advertised time. Instead of 8:30 we were on the trail to the summit by 9 am.

We soon started to see bear scat on the trail and at a brief stop we met a Swiss couple who caught up to us and asked if they could join us. They tagged along for the rest of the day.

We made the pass by noon and that made a fine lunch stop.

On the return we took a 800 meter side trip to the beautiful Eva Lake. Our normal swimmers were not prepared for a swim but we saw others enjoying the water.

Back at the cars just before 4pm. Distance was 19km and total elevation was just over 800m.

Thanks to a great group for a wonderful day. Brenda coordinator and scribe. Thanks to Ron for the photos.
