It turned out to be a lovely day, with enough wind at the pass and above to make the warm temperatures quite comfortable.
Starting a little after 10 we proceeded fairly quickly to West Wind Pass and took a nice break there, especially to contemplate if there was a way down the north side for anything other than goats.

From there we proceeded across the traverse with the usual discussion about whether this is TL5, OT5 or SC5. We gained the backside of Windtower together and then climbed to the summit each at his/her own pace.

The weather forecast was for possible thunderstorms in the afternoon and we saw some dark clouds and so headed down. We got a few drops of rain at West Wind Pass, but nothing more until some light and some quite heavy rain on the drive home.
Many thanks to participants David,Peter,Gary,Susan,Inge,James,Celine,Clifton,Barbara for joining me, Carl (C/S)
