Despite the early date for this trip, there was almost no snow to be seen, apart from one patch near the top. The group seemed to be in a very talkative mode and the relaxed pace led to non-stop conversations up to the summit, at lunch, and back down to the cars. There were other hikers and cyclists on the trail, but not enough to cause any congestion.
While having lunch, we were visited by some curious marmots, but also by a drone that some inconsiderate hiker insisted on flying.
