A -8c  beautiful day found six ramblers searching for that elusive untracked powder. Unfortunately, the avalanche chutes we had planned to ski had slid about a week ago, and the alpine was heavily wind affected. Those young bucks from Canmore had skiied everything else possible. So there was good snow to be had in the trees, if you could find an untracked line without romancing a tree or two. The ramblers worked hard on the uphills to be rewarded with mediocre, difficult-to-ski snow on the downhills. Thankfully the cheerful comradery and wonderful scenery made it another great day in the mountains.
