We set out from the Mist Creek day use area initially on a bare trail which became snow covered before long.  We turned right at the junction and onward up the Mist Ridge trail.  The northern most of the Mist Hills is accessed from the Mist Ridge trail after it climbs out from the creek into a bit of a saddle.

We made the summit of the north hill in time for a fairly sheltered and not too hasty lunch.  After lunch, we walked north along the hill to the end and descended down the open slope to pick up a trail in the woods that took us back out to the Mist Ridge trail.  By the time we were returning much of the snow on the trail had melted and it was mud instead.

The length, effort and great views made for a nice fall outing:  12km, 700m
Thanks to a great group for an enjoyable Thanksgiving outing: Susan,Brenda, Bill photos,Caroline and David (c/s)
