We left Richmond meeting place at 8:00am, regrouped at the parking lot by the bridge, and started hiking at 9:15am. It was cool enough in the morning to ascend the initial steep slope without too much sweating where we once again regrouped. By 12:00pm we'd reached the top of the cliff band leading to the summit ridge but had lost one member. While 5 continued on to first sort of summit, the coordinator returned to retrieve the missing member and return to the top of the cliffband. Eventually we all regrouped and headed back down in warmer temperatures after an enjoyable walk along the ridge. I'm always amazed to see the number of people heading up as we head down in the middle of the afternoon. It was a very pleasant close to town hike to do in fine weather and good company.
