Mt Mann 707840 (The Battleship) Off-Trail hike on 13-Nov-2016

Nine of us left the Sentinel  Recreational Area and prepared to wade across the Highwood River to the opposite shore where we found the trail paralleling Cataract Creek. ( Ricardo was the only one who stayed dry with his new fashion invention for crossing streams.

He had made lightweight waterproof waders and did not need to remove his boots.)  It was a little tricky finding the trail which led up to Mt Mann.  We went a little too far and ended up scrambling up a very wide and open drainage which led us up to the summit where we had lunch.

On the way down, we retraced our steps and went along the ridge until we came to a junction and then headed south and then north back to the main trail.  We finally found some flagging on the descent.
