We had a lovely day on this scramble that has pretty much become a hike due to the traffic.  There were warnings about a bear in the area which several other groups did see, but he/she stayed away from our Fearsome Foursome.
We set out from the Norquay parking lot a bit before 9:00 and stopped near the top of the trees for elevenses.
The route around the false summit seemed to be a little lower/right of the route that the three of us who have done Cascade before (22 years for the scribe) remember.

The speedsters were at the top in a little under four hours, all of us in under 4 1/2.

There were a group of two and a solo hiker ahead of us and about 15! summiters in about five groups behind us.
A beautiful mother goat and kid showed up on the way down.

We were back at the car a little after 5:00. It was quite warm at lower elevations but generally close to perfect weather.
