Our trek (which circumnavigated the massive bounded by Hwy 93, Noseeum, Molar & Mosquito Creeks) took just under nine hours (Map 82N9). After a gentle walk up Noseeum Creek we reached a headwall which was easily ascended by a good trail to the left of two waterfalls.

Andromache Above The Headwall

Less than an hour later we had lunch at an unnamed lake at GR 492210.

Unnamed Lake

Just south of the lake we found several dykes of igneous rock (see Ben Gadd's "Handbook," pages 86 & 87, 4th edition, for explanation & picture).

From a pass at Gr 502201 there were good views to both the NW and SE.

Molar & The Tower To The SE

We had a mixture of good & bad weather during the trip. It rained south of Molar Pass, cleared up north of the pass and rained for the last half hour down Mosquito Creek.

Better Weather Above The Pass

Thanks to Laszlo, Nancy, Peter, Philip & Rosanne, Rita and Shirley for another great day in the mountains. On another note, I rec'd a phone message from David Mulligan. I reckon he's on the 11th or 12th day of his epic journey. So far he's had fun, has enjoyed good weather and is on schedule. He hopes to be in the Bolton-Elk Lake area on Friday, August 11th .......
