Calgary’s snowfall did not materialize at the Grass Pass location, so we enjoyed a pleasant walk in the sun with little snow. Half of the group opted to use micro spikes, while the other half decided to go with just boots. They were right, as there was very little ice to be found. After a 2 degree temperature at the trailhead, we enjoyed a sunny lunch at 6 degrees.

Lunch Panorama

Following lunch, we hiked down to the south ridge for a look, pausing at the Boundary Pine for the obligatory photo.

On the way back, we encountered two people with pack horses who reported no success in hunting. We arrived back at the cars about 2:45 PM.
