It was a pleasant joyfull meeting at the parking lot in the shadow of the forest setting. A few extra members joined us there to add to this event. Not a real hot day, crossing the new bridges, plus following an upgraded trail on the lower section the hiking was good as we progressed up the slopes. After a short snack stop and regroup we proceeded to the rock step, where extra care was taken to make sure all was well. With a quick lunch break on top the clouds thickened, a few rain drops and we agreed to proceed down the back side. The grassy slopes were moderately steep, with extra care needed as we decended into Wind Valley.

The hike in the treed forest seems always pleasant to me, having it's own gifts to offer.

A fair number of other hikers on the trails and a safe return to the cars for us. I thank Corey, Ron, Harold, Gary, Barbara, Dana, Bill, Aldis, Leslie & Leslie guest Micheal for making this a wonderful day, for it is the members and guests that do make these outings pleasant. Scribe- Lenard.
