We enjoyed a beautiful day, good trail conditions and splendid views. Hiking in approx. 1.9km from the trailhead at ~10.05AM, Eveline spotted two grizzlies, only 50m South off the trail amongst the trees; they ignored us and calmly walked away, heading South. There were some mosquitoes near Healy Creek and lower meadows in the morning. The glacier lilies were abundant. We enjoyed our leisurely lunch in the sun on Healy Pass (2,330m elev.), with clear views towards the South onto the Ramparts, the Monarch (2,904m) and Mt Assiniboine (3,618m). We had the Pharaoh Peaks (2,711m) with Egypt and Scarab Lakes to the West and Mt Ball (3,331m) up to Storm Mt (3,161m) to the North.
