Sandy McNabb Ski Trails Track skiing on 12-Jan-2017
The car thermometer dropped to -27C on Hwy 22, so we stopped at the Coyote Moon in Turner Valley to fill up with more coffee and hope for warmer temps. After almost an hour we decided that we had to get off our butts and brave the cold.
At the start at the Sheep Warden cabin it was a relatively modest -18C, but for my fourth Rambler trip in seven days we had a cloudless sky.
We skied the outside loop of the Sandy McNabb trails on the south side of 546 (Logger's Loop, Meadow and Sandy McNabb Loop). The trails had been trackset about a week ago and were in excellent condition.

We had a lunch break on the slope above the winter recreation area.

We were a total of 3 1/2 hours around the 13 km loop (with very little elevation gain).
Many thanks to Barb, Ron, and John for joining me, Carl (C/S).
