It was a nice day for a spring hike. The trail was bare, if a little wet in places, the first flowers were out and so were the first mosquitoes. After lunch at the Pine Grove group camp, we noticed that Jumpingpound Creek had overrun its banks and was flowing through a large area of forest. We looked at the the creek from the trailhead, and Carolyn remarked that it appeared to be as wide as the Elbow River.

We could see the damage done by the flooding Jumpingpound Creek last year at several places.
