The hike to West Wind Pass was uneventful on a well-used easy to follow trail.
The worst rain was a heavy drizzle that fell for most of the half hour or so that we were traversing the rock bands between the pass and the back of Windtower.
For the record, the three coordinators on the trip agreed that the SC5 rating for this trip is warranted. However it might be the easiest SC5 and therefore a good introduction to scrambling. By the time we were on the backside of the destination the sun was out and it stayed out for most of the rest of the day.
All of us were at the peak after about 2 3/4 hours.
The return was uneventful and we stopped at Beamers in Canmore for drinks before returning to Calgary.
Thanks to Kathy, Nancy, Rita, new member Inge, Ghulam, John, Mel for joining me, Carl (C/S).
