Cochrane Ranch to Big Hill Springs Trail Hike on 9-Oct-2005
The weather was wonderful for an October day. Eight happy ramblers spent 2.5 hours walking to our lunch spot on a ridge overlooking the creek fed by Big Hill Springs.

Lunch -Cochrane Ranch group We saw a snake (dead), a deer and a coyote on our walk. On the return journey we walked through the trees near the Museum where there was a remarkable tree -three feet in diameter and it had the roots exposed to look like an octopus.
