Taylor L and Panorama Meadows Off-trail Skiing on 11-Jan-2012
The temperature varied from -23c at the start to about -13c at the finish, but without wind and in glorious sunshine, it really was a good day. The meadows were very pretty and it was my first trip up to their high end, summer or winter. The snow was also near perfect varying from a few cms new at the cars to about 10 cms new in the meadows. We even descended the notoriously fast trail (almost) entirely in control. Thanks to Stuart from David for a great trip.
Trip participants: Arnold (photos), David (scribe), Damian (stats), Sheila, Doug, Jim. A fine day with an excellent group. The GPS stats are 5.5h, 18.5km and a total elev gain of 905m. Thanks everyone! Stuart (coordinator on probation, the "bad" photo, scribe in part)
