We split just before the col between the NE Outlier and the north summit. Stan's dog Honey, ever the peakbagger went with Ron's group to the NE Outlier and then had to be shuttled to the scrambling group.
The climb to the north peak is fairly straight forward but there is a lot of loose rock. The scribe/coordinator unleashed one fist-sized rock that flew over another scrambler's head. Helmets are definitely required for this climb with a group. The scramblers had a leisurely lunch on the north peak, examining peaks in all directions.
Then we headed of along the sometimes intimidating ridge between the two peaks.
All the time we were being monitored from below.
Stan had an excellent alternate route off the south peak that goes down the ridge and then drops towards the Three Isle Lake trail. It has a scree run that is longer and better than the one off Yamnuska.
Many thanks to Alda, Bill, Bob, David, Manfred, and Stan, for joining me, Carl (C/S).
