Rawson Lake 312062 Trail Hike on 25-Jul-2010
It was a great day to be hiking in the mountains. Many other people also thought that the place to be was the trail to Rawson Lake as there was heavy traffic up and down the trail in the afternoon. We started just after 10:30, before most of the crowds and were up to the lake about noon. There were many signs of bear scat on the trail, but the park warden said that it was from a black bear several days ago. We hiked up to the meadows at the far end of the lake (thereby making the trip 6km each way) for lunch. A pleasant hour was passed with some people sleeping, other talking, and the more ambitious people wandering through the meadow identifying flowers.
