| Trip Date: 11-Jul-2010 Activity: Scramble Destination: Nihahi Ridge (south summit 482303) |
We left the foggy and cool city to arrive in the mountains on a lovely warm day, after passing through the cloud on Rainy Pass. We saw four deer jumping the fence at Little Elbow, and another deer on the return journey.

We hiked up the good trail from Little Elbow to Nahahi Ridge, arriving at the first cliff band to be negotiated,

Then the second cliff band,

Then the Summit, where we enjoyed lunch in a cool breeze under cloudy skies. The weather was never threatening. We waved to Dorothy Ann’s party on Powderface Ridge, but did they wave back? Here France, Robert, Linda and Wally enjoy the view. Wally’s trusty thermometer read 15 degrees.

We could still see the clouds hanging on the side of Moose Mountain south ridge.

After we negotiated the knife edge ridge back to the cliffs, the sun came back out and it got so warm again that we stopped in Bragg Creek for ice cream after arriving at the car at 3:30. Bug action was light.
