| Trip Date: 20-Jun-2010 Activity: Road Bike Destination: DeWinton road trip easy going |
County roads, take me home To the carpark where I belong Southern Alberta, Cycling Mama Take me home, country roads.
It was a John Denver cycle ride along (for the most part)quiet country roads with hawks making lazy circles in the sky and cows chewing the cud (there were two very small and silly dogs that tried to chase us, but Stan and Rick had big mountain words with them (as well as their owners.)We had lunch in Okotoks and an icecream and cold drink in DeWinton before heading back along country roads. We started at 10:30 and finished at 5 pm and were so motivated that we ended up doing 75 or 80 km (depending upon whose speedometer you read).
And cycling down the road I got the feeling That I should have been home 30 km ago.
It was a great day for an extended bike trip thanks to Sim, Stan and Rick.
