Trip Date: 5-Jun-2010
Activity: Trail Hike
Destination: Moose Meadows to Warden's Cabin
Report:

Not only was it a great day in the mountains, it was a two bear day! Both were spotted while driving on the 1A - one this morning and one after the hike.

The weather was a mix of sun and clouds with a few sprinkles of rain or graupel. And, aside from a few muddy spots the trail was in pretty good condition.

We elected to stop for lunch at 1pm along Johnston Creek. Jerome and David were curious about how far we were from the warden's cabin and after lunch they did find it while the rest of the group headed back. Seems we stopped about 15 minutes or 1 km short of it.

After reconvening at the Ink Pots for another short break, we headed back out to the trailhead. The day ended at The Drake in Canmore for food and refreshments!

Thanks to Ron (photos), Ginger, Barbara, Peter, Jerome (photos), Elise, Sharon, Murray, Andy, David and new member Greg for a great day! Brenda c&s
