Yamnuska traverse (east to west) Scramble on 16-May-2010

On the second decent summer day this year, we joined the hordes at Yam for the classic east to west traverse. Starting soon after 9.30am we stopped on the east ridge before starting some ridge scrambling in shallow snow.

Fortunately the crux cable traverse was dry and following more grunting we made the summit about 12.30pm for a windless lunch with good views.

With further breaks, we ran down the dusty scree and walked the slanting trail back to the cars by 3.45pm.
